"I chose to have lunch at The Relish Tray Bistro & Speakeasy to celebrate my 72nd birthday today, 5/1/25. I have dined there previously and enjoy what I call a French-style of dining; healthy local ingredients, perfect poriton sizes, excellent service, and a good variety of meal options.
My husband chose the Shrimp Scampi, and I, the Salmon with Ameretto sauce and a side of fresh vegetables with a dill dip. The salmon and shrimp were cooked to perfection, and the sauces, while flavorful, did not overwhelm the taste of the fish but complemented them. The toasted herbed bread was a fine choice to serve with the shrimp for dipping into the sauce. The vegetables were crispy fresh. I enjoyed a glass of Pinot Grigio with the meal.
I highly recommend this establishment and some of the different from typical Midwestern norm menu items, especially for those who seek portion sizes like I have experienced in France. We ordered from the Small Plate section. I left feeling energetic and satisfied.
They do offer several types of burgers, fish dishes, and salads, and vegetarian selections.
